Does Happy Place Eatery take reservations?

Yes, for parties of 4 or more. Coming today? Join today’s list on this page and we text you the second your table is ready. Planning another day? Send a request and our team texts you once it’s confirmed. Parties under 4 do not need anything, just walk in.

What if my group is smaller than 4?

Come on in. Tables under 4 are first come, first served all day, every day. If you are a 3 that might turn into 4, join as a 4 and let the team know when you arrive.

How far ahead do I need to book?

There is no minimum notice. You can join today’s list from the parking lot, or request a table weeks out. Future dates are a request until our team confirms them by text.

Is there a deposit or a minimum spend?

No deposit and no minimum spend. If your plans change, just reply to your text so we can give the table to someone else.

How does today’s list work?

Join with your name, number and headcount, then tell us if you are heading over now or coming later today. Your spot goes on our host board and we text you the moment your table is ready. If you are coming later, text us when you are about 15 minutes away and that is when your spot in line starts.

How will I know a future table is confirmed?

Our team texts you once it’s confirmed. Until that text lands, your table is a request and not a booking.

Can you handle a party bigger than 30?

Yes. Send it through our catering form so our team can work out timing, food and the room with you. The food truck is an option for the really big ones.

Can I book Happy Place Eatery for a birthday in Ventura?

Yes. Birthday dinners are one of the most common reasons groups book with us. Parties of 4 or more can request a table for any day. Tell us it is a birthday in the notes and we will set the table up right.

Can I reserve a table for a game?

Yes. Lakers, Raiders, Dodgers, NFL, NBA and World Cup are all on our screens. Request a table for the game date, and on game days get here early, it fills up.

How do I change or cancel?

Reply to your text with the change and our team will update it. If your plans fall through, let us know as early as you can so we can offer the table to another group.

What times can I request?

Today’s list takes arrivals until 30 minutes before the kitchen closes: 8:30 PM Monday to Saturday and 7:30 PM on Sunday. Online sign-ups for today close 15 minutes earlier, so you have time to get here. Requests for another day can be sent any time, for arrivals up to those same times.
